Money matters - everyone counts

We understand that a change in circumstances such as losing your job could lead to problems with managing your budget, getting into debt and being targeted by doorstep lenders that may lead to even more debt. That's why we have set up sessions locally to help you and we have created a specialist team to provide help and advice that's right for every individual's needs.

At these sessions our team of advisers can help you with the following:

  • Housing and Welfare Benefits and what is available to you.
  • Gas and electricity – reduce what you pay.
  • Having your rent deducted from your benefits.
  • Budgeting and maximising income.
  • Paying your rent by Direct Debit.
  • Assistance in reclaiming bank charges.

Or talk to a member of our friendly team today - phone 01977 724464.

WDH also works in partnership with the White Rose Credit Union

WDH are continuing to hold a series of drop-in information sessions throughout the district called "Money matters – everyone counts". Here you can find out more about benefits of your Local Credit Union and the outstanding services you can enjoy as a member.

How Credit Unions can help you

  • It's much easier to open a Credit Union account than a bank account.
  • You can save as much or as little as you like – and as often as you like.
  • It's easy to save at local Post Offices or direct from your wages.
  • You'll get free life assurance.
  • Wakefield's White Rose Credit Union offers an annual dividend on all your savings.
  • Credit Unions offer low-cost loans to their members.
